JNET Portal Access

SUMMARY

The scope of this document is to provide a walkthrough regarding accessing the JNET portal.  The technical support information for JNET is noted below:

  1.  Access the JNET portal via the following URL:  www.jnet.pa.gov

This will provide the login portal page.  

  •  Existing officers and staff should have credentials.  All new account requests should be directed to Renee Wright at the Allegheny County Sheriffs Office:  phone (412) 350-4714.  

Accessing the Crash Reporting System

SUMMARY

The purpose of this document is to provide a walkthrough on accessing the Crash Reporting System for the City of Duquesne Police Department.

1.  Access the portal with the following URL:  https://www.dot6.state.pa.us/

2.  Click on “Login” in the upper left-hand corner.  

  •  This will bring up the authentication prompt for police staff to log in.  

Police Department:  Tupper System – SYSTEM HAS BEEN DEPRICATED

SUMMARY

The purpose of this document is to provide information regarding the Tupper system used by the City of Duquesne Police Department.  

This is noted as a Microsoft Exchange Server 2003 email system installed on server \\SERVER-DQPD.  

Technical support is available by contacting Tulip Systems at (412) 653-1100.  

Tupper System Notes

The premis of Tupper is to provide email communications between area police departments.  Joan Ellis at Tulip Systems noted that creating the Exchange/Outlook profile to communicate with server \\SERVER-DQPD is all that is required.  Outlook Web Access via URL https://SERVER-DQPD/Exchange is another option.  

Note that this is a Microsoft Exchange Server 2003 system so Microsoft Outlook 2013/2016 will not be compatible.  

Informer and Reflections Documentation

SUMMARY

The purpose of this document is to provide documentation on Informer and Reflections.  The programs are maintained by Tulip Systems.  The contact information for Joan Ellis at Tulip Systems is 412-653-1100.  

Joan noted that Informer is the records management system on server \\SERVER-DQPD, and that Reflections is the workstation application used to make a connection to the Informer system.

The install folder is located on the server in the following path:  

\\SERVER-DQPD\Folders – DQPD\Reflections\Setup.exe

Joan Ellis at Tulip Systems has noted that all defaults should be kept in the installation process.  

Login for D.A.T.A (District Attorney Tactical Assistance)

SUMMARY

The scope of this document is to document the procedure for accessing the D.A.T.A. portal.  

1.

Load the Cisco VPN Client shortcut on the desktop.  Connect to the VPN host IP 199.224.21.101.  

2.

The username is “100duquesne” and the password is in the provided documentation  

3.

Once the VPN is established, the desktop shortcut or favorite place bookmark for D.A.T.A. may be used.  For reference, it is noted as http://p080.da.allegheny.pa.us/.
